There was a thunderstorm one night and the lightning was really intense. There wasn't too much rain coming down, so I decided to go out and test my luck. I got about 10 shots of lightning, but most of them were too washed out or I they just didn't look good, but this one definitely wins the prize. I really like this one.

 well done!  --  Be JOYOUS!!! Sieze a friend and lick 'em! thank you. the sky was originally a boring whitish color, so i livened it up a bit with photoshop. it kind of brought out the grainyness of the photo when i did that, but that's the cameras fault.
What? Not a real purple sky? (kidding)
I got my first really purple sky pre digital with some Kodachrome 64 slide film, shooting it at 50 and not being very careful with the exposure. Your purple looks better. -- "I was born in Virginia but everyone in Tennessee thinks I am a Yankee" [link] lol, thanks.

 I tried to take a photo of lightning but unfortunetly I was too slowly I like this very much thank you. that night was insane with lightning. it didn't stop for 2 seconds. so i just went out and just went click click click click and i got a few good ones, but this one by far was the best.
 ten shots out of a storm would be a lot for us here in south florida ... the storms move by very quickly, and we'd be lucky to get just one with decent composition (perhaps i'm just too picky! lol)
 anyway, this is beautiful! i love the purple hue and the lightning itself is amazing! great capture. -- if you think you can't ... you're right. if you think you can ... you will. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
