It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Another One Missed

Welcome to my profile. I'm happy you've payed a visit. I hope you'll enjoy both my journal and my gallery. Any comments and critiques are strongly encourage.

Tonight was the second night I've missed a sunset. Now, if this was just any old sunset I wouldn't be mad, but this one was probably the second most stunning and powerful one I've ever seen. The first I missed earlier this year because of a lack of camera. This time around I missed in not because a lack of camera, I did have one, I was just in the middle of a soccer game, and by the end it was gone.

I knew this was going to be a great one even before it began to set. The clouds from this were placed perfectly for it. They where strong overhead, but near the horizon they were very thin and opened up to let the sun peer through upon set in the horizon reflecting it's light across the whole sky/clouds before, above, and behind our location. The colors were deep orange to rosy red, to a marvelous magenta and purple. It turly was a powerful one. Let's hope the 3rd time will be a charm and I won't miss out on the opportunity.

Thank you for reading my journal, I really appreciate the support :) I can use all the help I can get, so any critiques and comments will not go unnoticed, and any watchers, help spread the word, the more watchers I get, the more dA love I can spread in the form of more features ;)

Nothing more frustrating than to see something like that and know you can't get a shot of it :nod: I have a similar regret over a sunrise I saw about 1 1/2 years ago. I haven't seen a sunrise like that since...

Yea, I never thought I'd see one like the first one I missed, but lo and behold, 3 months later I did. So hopefully sometime in the near future I will get lucky. :fingerscrossed:
