Brighter On the Other Side

Cade's Cove, Smoky Mountain National Park

This photo was taken while driving through Cade's Cove. The sun poked it's rays out for only a short period a few times.

There is a bit of photo editing here. The whole thing was about the same brightness, but some adjustments to curves and contrast got me this effect, the bright area by the middle tree and darkness surrounding it.
